Darin Matthew "DJ" James

Darin Matthew "DJ" James, 34, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
Born in Athens, he was the son of Diane Reddick James of Winterville and the late Hayden Edward James. Darin was a Commercial Truck Drive for AIM Integrated Logistics. Loving husband is not nearly enough to describe him. He was Brooke's one and only true love. He was her closest, truest friend, her person in this life. He was her everything. He adored her.
His greatest accomplishment in life lives on in Maddy and Hayden. We see him in their faces... in Maddy's dark eyes and beautiful face and in Hayden's sweet smile and goofy laugh.
The loss of his friendship is almost unbearable. We are so thankful for the promise that we will see him again one day.
He loved Georgia football and country music, talking politics and impersonations, horse play until he got hurt and driving so fast you weren't sure you were going to make it. He loved shooting guns, playing video games and driving big trucks. He loved history and airplanes, WW II and stories about his dad. He always had a story and always had an opinion. He loved meatloaf and mac and cheese, red velvet cake and rice crispy treats. He loved to laugh and make other people laugh. Mostly he loved his wife and his daughter and his son.
Rest now DJ. We will see you again. Please watch over us all and know that we will carry Brooke, Maddy, and Hayden until they can walk again on their own.
We love you DJ. You are missed more than words can say.
He is survived by his wife, Brooke Williamson James of Arnoldsville, children: Madelyn James and Hayden Christopher James; brother: Jeremy (Erin) James; sister in law: Tara (Owen) Keeler of Arnoldsville and brother in law: Matthew (Christina) Williamson of Watkinsville.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkisnville. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 at Oconee Chapel, Friday, December 9, 2016.
