Danny Ray Shelnutt

Danny Ray Shelnutt, 55, of Jefferson, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Born in Athens, he was a son of the late Ray Shelnutt and Barbara Miller Shelnutt. Danny loved hunting, fishing and most importantly, he adored his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie McDaniel Shelnutt and two brothers, Randy Shelnutt and Andy Shelnutt.

Survivors include two children, Stephen Taylor (Shanna) and Shelby Taylor; eight grandchildren, Caitlyn, Emily, Jared, Braxton, Bryson, Bradley, Trevor and Sofie; one brother, Ronald Shelnutt (Sandra); brother-in-law, William McDaniel (Karen) and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Gregory and Darinda Waters (Mickey).

Memorial services will be Monday, July 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
