Danny Crider, 63, passed away March 17, 2017.
A native of Newnan, GA, he was a lifelong resident of the state of Georgia. He lived in the Athens area since 2005, having moved from Conyers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Palmer Clone and Lillie Mae McAlpin Crider, and a sister, Lynda Adcock of Senoia, GA. Danny was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Watkinsville and was a father figure to many friends and family members over the years.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Burt's UMC Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Eberhardt Crider; two daughters, Lydia (Johnathan) Fortner of Carlton and LaRae (Rodney) Upton of Conyers; sister, Rita Bowden of Locust Grove, GA; eight grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Andrew, Augusta, Isaac, Emily, Josiah and Lydia.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to New Life Apostolic Church, 2050 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
