Danny Lee Archer

Danny Lee Archer, 58, of Crawford, GA, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023.

He was born in Athens, GA to the late Alton Harvey Archer and Doris Meriel Lord on May 6, 1965.

Danny is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Deborah Archer; two children, Danny Archer II, and Sharon Patton; six grandchildren, Dominic Archer, Danté Archer, Danny Archer III, Taylor Patton, Gabriel Patton and Bryleigh Patton; one great-grandchild, Kayden Whiteside; and one brother and two sisters, Jimmy Archer, Connie Archer, and Cathy Wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Joe Archer.

Danny was a cherished husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all those he loved. He enjoyed his career as an industrial painter, the last 10 years of which he spent with Sherwin-Williams at Caterpillar. He coached little league baseball in Madison County where he and his wife Deborah resided for many years before moving to Oglethorpe County He was an avid NASCAR fan, fisherman, and golfer. He loved the Atlanta Braves, GA Bulldogs, and going to the beach. He was immensely loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Athens, GA with a Memorial to follow at 12pm. Donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers. The family is at the home.
