Daniel Seagraves

Athens - Daniel Leroy Seagraves, 55, passed away at his home in Athens, Saturday, May 21, 2011. A native of Athens, he was the son of Annie Ruth Seagraves of Athens and the late James Leroy Seagraves. He has worked for Athens-Clarke County Public Works Department (Water and Sewer Division) for many years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, West. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Bill Hairston, Jennifer and Sid Stephens; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donny and Connie Seagraves, and Kelvin and Heather Seagraves; two stepdaughters, two stepsons and step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paula Rosenbaum, RN, of Compassionate Hospice, for her kind and compassionate care. Lord and Stephens, West, of Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
