Dan W. Landers

Dan W. Landers, age 90, of Watkinsville, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
Born on March 11, 1923, in Jersey, Mr. Landers was the son of the late Charles and Myrt Anthony Landers. He was retired from General Times and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of High Shoals Christian Church and the Watkinsville VFW Lodge.
Mr. Landers was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Tarpley Landers. Survivors include his children, Jacqueline Hall and Mike Landers; identical twin brother, Van Landers; brother, Joseph Landers; sister, Mildred Hayes; grandchildren, Jack Hall and Ryan Landers; great-grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, at the Lord & Stephens West Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Bishop Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Thursday Night Singing Buddies.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jimmy V. Foundation or to the Pat Summitt Foundation.
