Dallas Glen Gose passed away on August 30, 2016 in Commerce, Georgia. Dallas was born on December 2, 1930 in Monroe Michigan, the son of Glen and Ethel (Owen) Gose, originally of Union County, Tennessee. Dallas graduated from Monroe High School and subsequently joined the armed forces in the Korean War. Upon his return home, Dallas completed a degree in Commercial Art and Illustration. He then moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he worked as an art director at the Campbell-Ewald advertising agency. There, he met his wife of 56 years, Alice Helene (Thompson) Gose.
Dallas loved painting and drawing, and he enjoyed creating many works of art for the churches he attended throughout his long, productive life. Dallas was an avid and accomplished golfer as well as a phenomenal musician, playing the guitar, banjo, harmonica, organ and piano, all by ear and with tremendous flair.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Owen Eugene Gose. In addition to his wife, Dallas is survived by his sister, Dona L. (Gose) Liedel, two daughters, Leslie Gose and Rebecca Gose, and three grandchildren, Ryman Gose Curtis, Ivy Lula Gose-Elliott and Audrey Enghauser.
