Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Hicks

Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Hicks, 65, died peacefully Monday, July 27, 2015 at her residence in Athens, GA. A native of Sarasota, FL, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. Henne and Lucille Reichle Henne. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Peachie Edge and brother, Chris Henne. She had a successful career as a Financial Manager for Rich's & Macy's Department Stores. In 2010 she was fortunate to discover her new passion as House "Mother" Director for Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Georgia where she touched the lives of many. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Hicks of Atlanta and brothers, Ed Henne of Sarasota, FL and John Henne of Tampa, FL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday, July 31, 2015 and from 10:00-10:45 on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel in Athens, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels Among Us (The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University), Team "Cindy's Angels."
