Clyde C. Forrester

Clyde C. Forrester Doraville, GA Clyde Conrad Forrester, 77, died July 15, 2006. A native of Banks County, GA, he was a son of the late William Felton and Cynthia Clifford Brock Forrester and was preceded in death by a brother, H. B. Forrester and brother-in-law, Charles Virgil Langford, Jr. Mr. Forrester served in the United States Army (Thunderbirds) during the Korean War from 1951 - 1952. Prior to leaving for Korea, he worked as an underwriter for Commercial Union Insurance Company. He then returned to work for them after the war where he worked until his retirement in 1983. He than began working for two auto dealerships doing banking, titles, and tags until his health caused him to retire in the early 1990's. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 11:00 am at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Bogart, Ga., with the Rev. Spencer Wade Bradford officiating. The family will gather at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Survivors include his wife, Mary Glenda Langford Mitchell Forrester; stepdaughter, Teresa Jeanne Mitchell Burlingame and husband, Douglas Franklin Burlingame; two grandchildren, Brandon Douglas Burlingame and Cameron Mitchell Burlingame; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Rose Ayers Forrester, Hilda Katherine Streetman Langford, and Rachel Carolyn Langford Bradford and her husband, James Ronald Bradford. Four nieces; Anita Rose Forrester Bonds and her husband, David L. Bonds, Jr., Gina Michelle Langford Lang and her husband, Kent Douglas Lang, Amanda Katherine Langford, and Stacey Rachelle Bradford. Three nephews; Stacey Lynn Forrester, Jeffery David Langford, and Spencer Wade Bradford, and his wife, Renee Collins Bradford. Three great-nephews and various cousins. Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
