Athens - Mr. Clifford N. Walls, 66, of Athens, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A native of Oglethorpe County, he was a son of the late Rosa Nell Fleming. He was a mechanic for a number of years, in which he owned his own service station and had been employed with Halls Service station for more than ten years until his retirement. He was a member of Central Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Victory Sunday school Class. Many will remember Mr. Walls as an avid golfer.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Victory Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife Sylvia Walls of Bogart; daughter and son-in-law Natalie Walls- Adams and Eric Adams of Nicholson; sons and daughters in-law Shane and Tiffany Hannah Walls of Athens, Greg and Nikki Tyner of Braselton; grandchildren Henry and Virginia Tyner of Braselton; one aunt, Mildred Ashworth of Hull; a very close family friend "MaMaw" Anna Homily of Athens.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with the Rev. Brian David, the Rev. Dennis Kesler and the Rev. Joel Dover officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday September 5, 2009, at the funeral home.
