Clifford L. Morris, 79, died June 11, 2009.
A native of Madison County, GA, he was a son of the late James Redden and Annie Eva Sharp Morris. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Morris and Lucille Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Bill Toney; brothers, C. B. Morris and Johnny Morris; sister-in-law, Agnes Morris; brother-in-law, Jowett Logan.
Mr. Morris was retired from the United States Air Force, where he served during the Vietnam War. He also retired from the United States Postal Service.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Colbert United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Colbert Cemetery. Revs. James R. Haralson and Calvin Coile officiating.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Rebecca Gilchrist Morris; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie Morris of Commerce, Randy Morris of Braselton; grandchildren, Catherine, Allison, Ben, Matt, John and Drew; sister, Betty Logan; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Ted Osborne; brother, Joe Morris; sister-in-law, Oline Morris, all of Colbert; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
