Clark Petty Wade, 89, of Winterville, GA, died January 16, 2021.
Born in Bissell, MS, she was a daughter of the late Davis Gordon Hall and Audrey Lucille Hutcheson Hall.
An area resident since 1964, Mrs. Wade worked in sales for Fosters Jewelers and Austin Furniture before retiring to be a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Athens First Baptist Church and the Aderhold-Farrell Sunday School Class. Above all she was the matriarch of the family.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Adelbert E. Wade; children, Pat (Bill) Thompson of LaGrange, Joan Petty of Winterville, Bob (Sandra) Petty of Lawrenceville, Teresa (Dusty) Stone of Winder and James (Nancy) Wade of St. Louis, MO, Theresa Wade of Athens; grandchildren, Laura (Jason) Cleghorn, Bobby Petty, Kayla (Cain) Neisler, Alex (Jennifer) Wade, Ben Wade and Mary Wade; great grandchildren, Austin Cleghorn and Audrey Cleghorn, Lucas Wade and Levi Wade; sister, Glenda Ellis of Columbus, MS and brother, Bill Hall of Beaverton, OR.
Private graveside services will be held at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Frank Granger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice, 575 Research Drive, Athens, GA 30605 in memory of Clark Wade.
