Clara Lee

Clara Lee, 98, passed away Fri., Sep. 4, 2015. Clara was born in St. Paul, MN and attended the Univ. of Minnesota. Following graduation, she worked as a dental hygienist. Clara married Lt. Ray Marion Lee in 1939. The couple was married 46 years and spent 30 years serving as an Army family. Several years after the loss of her husband, Clara moved from Arizona to Bogart, GA to be close to family. Clara lost her son, Mark, in 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tony) Amdur, of Athens, GA, sister Betty Janecky, 4 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held on Sat., Sep. 12 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Athens First United Methodist Church, 327 N. Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA, 706-543-1442. Memorial donations may be made to Athens First UMC, St. Mary's Hospice House, The Wounded Warrior Project, or The Salvation Army.
