Clara Gayton Anthony died December 8, 2015 after an extended illness, she was a native of Dawson County. Preceded in death by parents Beecher and Alline Gayton Dawsonville, GA; husbands: Johnny Davidson, Gainesville, GA; Fred Y. Anthony, Comer GA; sons: Johnny Davidson, Jr., Gainesville, GA; Terry (Rita) Davidson and C. David Davidson, Winterville, GA; and Michael Y. Anthony, Comer, GA; sister Lucille Brawder, Buford, GA; brother Horace "Bud" Gayton, Dawsonville, GA; and grandchild Mindy Gabriel, Athens, GA. She is survived by daughter-in-law Susan Davidson Winterville, GA; grandchildren: Jenny (Michael) Chavez, Nicholson, GA; Geoffrey Davidson, Athens, GA; Brooke (Tennyson) Hull, Winterville, GA. Great grandchildren: Austin and Cammie Chavez, Nicholson, GA; Hannah Gabriel, Swansea, SC; Tennyson "Tee Allen" (Micayla) Hull, Fort Riley, Kansas; Zeke and Kendall Hull Winterville, GA; William and James Crudup, Winterville, GA.; Brother Corrigan (Rita) Gayton; sister Sandra Gayton Young; sister-in - law Shirley Gayton all of Dawsonville, GA; and great granddog Macie Chavez, Nicholson, GA.
A longtime resident of Comer, GA she retired from Bluebell and the Comer Café. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
