Christine Louise (Bushman) Pavlak

Christine Louise Pavlak, 67, of Athens, died Friday, May 13, 2016.
Born in Jefferson City, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. Bushman and Dorothy A. Kassebaum Bushman. Mrs. Pavlak enjoyed sponsoring movies for the Athens Cine and also sponsoring programs for the UGA Performing Arts Center. She taught and attended Olli Courses at the University of Georgia, and was a member of the Athens Clarke County Library Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Pavlak.
Survivors include one sister, Elyse E. Steinmann and her husband, Edwin; one brother, Samuel M. Bushman IV and his wife, Linda; and one nephew, Nathan M. Steinmann.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 at the UGA Catholic Center. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Athens Humane Society, 1781 Mars Hill Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677 or the UGA Catholic Center, 1344 S Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30605.
