Christine “Chris” Grant, of Watkinsville, made her ascent to heaven on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the age of 69 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.
Chris was born April 29, 1952 in Sacramento, California to the late Garth Mangus and Louise Rees. She lived the majority of her childhood in Ventura, California and kept hold of her west coast roots until she moved to Georgia in 2000.
She left behind her loving husband of 26 years, Ronald Grant; daughters, Cassandra Rowland, Molly Miller, Cathryn Reeves; son, David Grant; brothers, Daniel and David Mangus; sisters Michelle and Carolyn Therriault; and 11 grandchildren.
Chris was a beloved mother, nana, wife, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was a friend to all and spent her days in the service of others. Chris had an eye for detail and design. Her home was a beautiful showcase of her talents, a place where she enjoyed all her favorite things: decorating, antique collecting, weaving, cooking and playing music. She was the ultimate homemaker.
We invite everyone who was touched by her light in any way to her Memorial services and burial at Oconee Memorial Park on Saturday, April 9, at 11 am with an outdoor luncheon at 1:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Julian Drive.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Watkinsville is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com.
