Athens, GA - Chester E. Weatherly, Sr., 94, died January 11, 2011.
A native of Athens, he was the son of the late Hugh Augustus, Sr. and Dora Elizabeth Shirley Weatherly and the widower of Sara Elizabeth Yearwood Weatherly. Mr. Weatherly was retired owner of Arnetts Studio. Following retirement, he owned Weatherly and Son Photography. He was a member of numerous civic organizations and was a member of Redstone Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 PM followed by services at 2:00 PM. Dr. Paul Downey will officiate. Private burial will follow.
Survivors include his children, Chester E. Weatherly, Jr. of Athens and Susan Davidson of Winterville; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
