Watkinsville - Charlotte M. Cook, 70, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2009, 3 PM at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Cannon, Kenny Reynolds, Chris Boswell, Steven Berardinelli, Troy Glenn and Larry Townsend.
Born in Elizabethton, TN, she was the daughter of Hazel Riddle Frye of Drexel, N.C. and the late Houston Floyd Mitchem of Antioch, N.C. Mrs. Cook was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church and retired as an Insurance Agent from Athens A-1 Insurance after 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Cook of Watkinsville, GA; children and their spouses: Kathy and Doug Watson, Tammy and Mike Deaton, Barry and Suzanne Cook, all of Watkinsville, GA, and Lisa and Anthony Foote of Roanoke, VA. Siblings include: Ruby Poulnott of Bogart, GA, Priscilla Stabler of Virginia Beach, VA, Patsy Cannon of Lenoir, NC, and Ricky Mitchem of Carrollton, GA. She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009, from 6-8pm at Lord & Stephens West Chapel Funeral Home.
