Charlotte (Iverson) Bailey

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Charlotte Jewel Iverson Bailey, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, joining her husband of fifty-five years, Louis Franklin Bailey, Sr.
She was the daughter of Alfred and Jewel Shirey Iverson. Having lost both parents as a young child, she and her sister, Mary Iverson Henderson, were fortunate to be raised by their Aunt Jessie Iverson Dunbar, who adored them.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her children and grandchildren Linda Bailey Hagan and husband Al, Louis Bailey, Jr. and wife Alice, Phyllis Bailey Hale and husband Mike, Phillip Bailey and wife Gloria; grandchildren Al Hagan III and fiancé Teresa Stateler, Melanie Hagan Howard, Russell Hagan, Leah Hagan, Beth Conn and husband Jason, Jennifer Bailey, Benjamin Harris and wife Megan, Chris Hale, Greg Hale and wife Cindy, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was a life-time member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family and her many friends.
The family extends its appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Talmage Terrace, her companion sitters and Gentiva Hospice at Athens Regional Hospital.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, August 7, 2014, from 5-7PM at Lord and Stephens West. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 2:00PM at their chapel with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park.
