Charlie Robert Barnett Jr., 70, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Charlie was the son of the late Charlie R. Barnett Sr. and Virginia Caruthers Barnett. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents: Hoyt Brown Barnett, Grace Edna Nabors Barnett, Edward Oliver Caruthers, and Leslie Dane Wilson Caruthers; and his sister Leslie Grace Bingham and brother Edward Hoyt Barnett.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn Thompson Barnett, daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Truman White, and Jolene Barnett and Nate Sorrow.
Grandchildren include Megan White, Vanna White, Hailey Pugh, and Sophie Pugh; and honorary grandchildren Zach Brady, Dalton Brady, and Austin Brady.
Surviving sisters include Linda Sheridan, Laura Fournier, and Melissa Barnett. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law include Cheryl and Mack Adams, Bobby and Angela Thompson, and Carol Barnett. Also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charlie was a mechanic and long haul truck driver for many years with McLane Southeast and Classic City Utility. He loved riding motorcycles, fishing, and his dogs.

A memorial service will be held at Arnoldsville Baptist Church on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2 pm.
