Charles Weyman Williams, 70, husband of Cindy Dean Williams, died Sunday, April 29, 2012.

A native of Commerce, GA, he was the son of the late Willie Frank and Lula Powers Williams. Charles retired from Reliance Electric and was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship, but was Baptized at the Glade Baptist Church. He was a Little League Football Coach of the Oglethorpe County Recreational Department. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Nell Williams, brother, Leon Williams, sister, Patsy Powers, grandchildren, Scotty Jones and Olivia Williams and great grandchild, Riley Gilland.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Renee (Charles) Gearing, Tammy (Russ) Paul, Wayne (Teresa) Williams, Rodney (Missy) Williams, Sgt. First Class (Ret.) Greg (Giovanna) Williams, Sean (Lori) Williams, Tina (Michael) White, Tonya Welch; one brother: James R. Williams; sister in law: Mary Tiller; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Jamie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Arnoldsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Williams, Rodney Williams, Greg Williams, Sean Williams, Charles Gearing, Russ Paul; honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Rich, Tim Jones, Holly Bales and Buddy Carruth.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 at the funeral home, Monday, April 30, 2012.
