Winterville - Charles Dwight Tucker, 63, husband of Henrietta Harrell Tucker, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late Rudolph Thurman Tucker Jr. and Myrtle Gladys Cape Tucker. He was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church and retired from the University of Georgia after 39 years of service.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons: Joe Tucker of Winterville, John Tucker of Crawford, Jim Tucker of Winterville; sister: Bettie Carolyn Simpson of Albany; grandchildren: Brent, Will, Kayla, Brandon, Dannielle and John; great-granddaughter, Braelyn Tucker, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with the Rev. Tac Coley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
