Farmington - Charles E. Self, Sr., 60, husband of Alma Jean Self, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at his residence.
Charles was a life long resident of Oconee County, and the son of the late Melvin and Ruby Brown Self. His sister Agnes Craft also preceded him in death. He had attended Ross Chapel Baptist Church. He had worked for Wellington for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, son and daughter in law, Charles E. (Janet) Self, Jr. brothers; Roy Self of Madison County, Wayne Self of Watkinsville, Danny Self of Madison sisters; Nell Stephens of Madison, Martha Morrell of Indiana, Debbie Tapp of Winder grandchildren; Keith Faulk and his wife Kelley, Amber Faulk, Dillon Self Brandon Smith and great grandchildren; Kaitlyn Faulk, Jordan Faulk and Nathan Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Revs. Hal Tapp and Jason Rowe officiating. Burial will be held at Ross Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Faulk, Stephen Wedincamp, Donald Miller, Fred Whatley, John Haley, Matt Land, Mike Thornton and Pat Self. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Harvey, Thomas Harvey, Brandon Thornton and Jonathan Powell.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Ross Chapel Baptist Church.
