Hull - Charles Edward "Ed" Pittman, 88, died September 14, 2009.
Mr. Pittman was the son of the late John Willie and Ida Frances Pittman and was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvine Adams Pittman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Alan Pittman; sisters, Estelle Adams, Cleo Adams, Clara Barnett and Onie Burroughs; and brothers, Cliff Pittman, J.W. Pittman and Doyle Pittman.
Mr. Pittman was formerly employed with Anderson Plumbing and Bill Bailey Plumbing and was a member of Atlanta Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 72 from 1965 - 1983. He was a member of Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Kenneth Dillard will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Mike Pittman of Hull and Connie Pittman Whiting of Saratoga Springs, Utah; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
