Charles Lynwood Ogletree, born August 1, 1941, went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2014. He was a native of Thomaston, GA and the son of the late George and Margaret Ogletree. He retired from auto body and repair work. He had worked in Athens for Heyward Allen and Patton and Cantrell Auto Body. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Ogletree (Phil) Wiley of Braselton and Linda Dale Absher of Athens; son, Stanley C. (Angela) Ogletree of Comer; seven grandchildren, Brant Hargraves, Aaron Hargraves, Kyle Wiley, Nicole Absher, Denae Wiley, Ariana Absher, Miles Ogletree; great granddaughter, Brielle Absher; sister, Doris Ledbetter of Thomaston, GA.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 4, at 2:30pm at Colbert Cemetery with Rev. Eric Buffington officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
