Athens - Charles Andrew Looney, 60, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Leroy Looney and Sara Brown Epps. He was a mechanic with City Wide Wrecker Service and had attended Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his best friend and caretaker, Tammy Townsend Looney; children: Michael Looney of Athens, Leroy Looney of Athens, Richard Looney of Nicholson, Mechelle Looney of Graham of Athens, Brandy Walker of Commerce, Timothy Quarles of Athens, Shanna Looney of Athens, Kelly Looney of Athens, Charles Looney of Athens; siblings: Roy Looney of Nicholson, Brenda Stowe of Danielsville, Jean Williams Nicholson, Jerry Clark of Nicholson, Sarah Cox of Nicholson, Linda Matthews of Nicholson and Joann Curtis of Hull; 19 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and caretaker and sister in law, Angie Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 11AM at the Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Larry Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
