Charles Henry Logan

September 23, 1928 — February 5, 2015

Charles Henry Logan passed away on February 5, 2015 at the age of 86.
He was a native of Athens and husband to Mildred, his wife of 62 years. Mr. Logan passed away peacefully in his home after a brief illness.
Professionally, he was a partner of L&M Truck Brokers in Athens, Georgia. Later in life, he also owned and operated Logan Overhead Door and served as founder and director of Walton Bank and Trust and Liberty First Bank of Monroe. He was past President of the Chamber of Commerce of Monroe, and had been active in the Athens Rotary Club, Athens Country Club, and Boy Scouts of Monroe.
He was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church of Athens, and former member of First Baptist Church of Athens and First Baptist Church of Monroe, where he had served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles David Logan; and his parents, William "Paul" and Pearl Elizabeth "Suzie" Logan. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Duncan Logan; daughter, Rhonda Logan Wills and husband, Joe; son, Jeff Logan; daughter, Kim Logan; grandchildren, Lori Drake, Rachel Sulkowski, Charles Hollis, Logan Wills, Michael Logan, Megan Snelling, and Thomas Murphy; great-grandchild, Charlie Drake; and sister, Margaret Kirkhart.
Visitation will be held at Lord & Stephens West on Saturday, February 7th from 4-6 pm. Services honoring his life will be held at Prince Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday, February 8th at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
