Charles Jimmy Hayes

Charles Jimmy Hayes, 77, husband of Jean Moody Hayes, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
A native of Stephens, he was the son of the late Joe Brown Hayes and Mary Ellen Hayes. He was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Russell Hayes and sister, Carolyn Hayes Thrasher. He was the owner and operator of Hayes Auto Crushing and member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son; Troy Scott Hayes of Lexington; brother: Joe Gene (Nina) Hayes of Lexington; grandson: Logan Russell Hayes; and those he considered his children: Bill Gillen, Mike Thrasher, Donna Floyd and Steve Hayes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2PM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Mask officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Arnold, Tony Compton, Chris Compton, Marvin Howard, Anthony Saxon and Troy Kitchens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
In lieu off flowers memorials may be made to the family for his grandson Logan's Education Fund.
