Athens - Charles Howell Hackett, 79, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at his residence.
Charles was born January 9, 1929 in Madison County. He is preceded in death by his mother Willie Lee Bowden.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Distant cousins Sidney Ann Stoyle of Comer and Donna and her husband Dean Adams of Comer survive.
Private services will be held at a later date.
