Athens, GA - Charles "Cigar" Carter's spirit left this lifetime on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the young age of 42 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Alden and sister, Cornelia Ann.
Cigar is survived by the love of his life of 12 years, Lori; his mother, Mary Kay Carter; brother, Matthew Carter and his wife Elaine; adopted and foster brothers, Joel, Michael, Danny, Kirby, Greg, Kevin and Tyler; sisters, Alana and Judy, as well as extended family and friends and 3 special cousins, Michelle and Eddie Watts and Eric Tatum.
Cigar was a great guitarist, and played with the bands, Gruntones and Perpetrator. His life as a caregiver centered around the kids in his family and his precious chihuahua Julio.
Services will be graveside, Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Chuck Tatum officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
