Charles Warren Christian

Charles Warren Christian, 77, of Danielsville passed away on October 23, 2024. Born on February 25, 1947, he was the son of the late Claude Lee Christian and Lena Bell Hunsinger Christian. 

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Married for almost 54 years, he met his wife, Betty Carol, “cruising Royston” with friends. After marrying they went on to have two children, Scott and Laurie. He was the rock of the family, a genuine, good hearted man, who took pride in being a provider. After completing his service with the Army, Charles began a lifetime career with Royston Corporation where he was respected as a manager and friend. His retirement was spent fishing, watching Westerns and Andy Griffith, and more fishing. Charles was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Franklin Christian, Dorothy Strickland, Fred Christian, Jimmy Christian. 

Survivors include his wife, Betty Carol Christian; children, Scott Christian (Kimberly), Laurie Flickinger; grandchildren, Ben, Delia and Brayden Flickinger; siblings, Claudette Bird, Grover Christian and Carolyn: many nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church with Terry Wood officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends the evening prior, on Friday, October 25th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Madison Chapel.
