Athens, GA - Charles William Chandler, 79, died February 26, 2008.
Born in Osborne, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur and Della Brannon McCall. He retired following 20 years service with the U.S. Navy and was later employed with St. Mary's Hospital and Russell Research. Mr. Chandler was a member of East Athens Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Maxey Chandler; daughters, Pamela Chandler Cheek (Chuck) and Kim Chandler Kelley (Mike) of Athens and Helen Deneaux of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Jeff Cheek (Jessica), Matt Cheek, Heather Kelley, Brooke Kelley and Will Perreyclear (Tonya); great grandchildren, Olivia Cheek, Ally Kelley and Jackson Perreyclear.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
