Charles Everett ""Chad"" Burgess

Charles Everett "Chad" Burgess, 29, of Bogart, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

A native of Oconee County, he went to Oconee County High School and played Jr. Varsity Baseball. He was the son of William Charlie "Charles" Burgess Jr. and the late Tina Marie Jackson Burgess. Chad was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing baseball, umpiring, playing golf and cooking. Most importantly, Chad loved to spend time with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie Burgess Sr. and his maternal grandfather, Clarence W. Jackson.

Survivors in addition to his father include his brother, Ryan Burgess; maternal grandmother, Ellen C. Jackson; paternal grandmother, Eva Mae Burgess; two aunts, Paige Jackson and Brenda Colley and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, West. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dustin Jackson, Richard Hammond, Rickey Poole, Charlie Colley, Jamie Jackson and Barry Mobley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at First American Bank & Trust, under Paige Jackson for the "Chad Burgess Memorial Fund".
