Charles Hampton Black

Mr. Charles Hampton Black, 76, of Hull, Ga. died Tuesday June 15, 2010. A native and life long resident of Madison County, Ga. Mr. Black was a son of the late Joe Henry and Comilla Holbert Black. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army. Mr. Black was employed at Champion International Paper Company for 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Ray Black, and Tommy Lee Black.
Funeral Service will be Thursday June 17, 2010 at 3 PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will be at Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday June 17, 2010 from 1-3 at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years JoAnn Black, Hull, Ga. Daughter and Son in Law, Sheila and Kent Hicks, Statham, Ga. Son and Daughter in law Randy and Donna Black, Hull, Ga. sisters Jo-An Black, Athens, Ga. and Cordelia and Lawrence Tolbert, Hull, Ga. grandchildren Jason Black, Taylor Hicks and Logan Hicks, great grandchild, Hunter Black, sister in law and brother in law, Betty and Charles Huff, Watkinsville,Ga. and a number of other relatives.
