Charles Frank "Alex" Alexander

Charles F. "Alex" Alexander, 74, of Athens, formerly Richmond, VA passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. Born in Maynard, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles J. Alexander and Lillian Mary Alexander. A veteran of the USAF, Mr. Alexander was retired from Sun Chemical Corporation in Richmond, VA. Survivors include his two daughters, Jeannine Alexander (Donald Leo) and Charlene Thompson (Brent), and three grandsons - Jonathan Leo, Matthew Leo and Everett Thompson; his sisters Janice Alexander of Winston-Salem, NC and Lillian Reade of Colchester, VT. A private family service will be held in June 2017 at his favorite place, the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
