Celia Jane (Whisnant) Graves

Celia Whisnant Graves, 80, died on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Born in Lenoir, NC, she was the daughter of the late George Brown Whisnant and Eulalia McClure Whisnant. Celia received her BS in Early Childhood Education from Western Carolina University and briefly worked as a teacher in North Carolina before moving to Georgia. She was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church, Athens, GA and she and her sons were the founders and owners of Material Handling Supply in Watkinsville, GA that they opened together in 1999. Survivors include her sons: Dennis Patrick and wife Suzanne Graves of Oconee County and Jonathan Kurt Graves and fiancé Kerry of Madison County; sister: Sybil and husband Merv Givens of Stone Mountain, GA and two grandsons: Tanner and Ben Graves. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.
