Cecil Curtis Vause, Jr., 80, died January 1, 2024.
A native of Athens, GA, he was a son of the late Minnie Louise McGahee and Cecil Curtis Vause, Sr. and the widower of Betty Ann Watkins Vause.
Mr. Vause retired in 2000 as a License Examiner after 32 years of dedicated employment with the Georgia State Patrol. Following retirement, he was employed with Franklin’s Gun Shop for fifteen years.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time.
Survivors include his niece, Tina (Artie) Kittle of Jefferson; great niece, Stacey (Chad) McClain of Madison; great-great niece and nephew, Reese and Dawson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Family Hospice and also caregiver, Josh Meeler for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Vause.
Pallbearers will be Chad McClain, Dawson McClain, Royce McClain, Robbie King, Josh Meeler.
