Cecil Sorrells Fleming

Cecil Sorrells Fleming, 91, of Comer, died Saturday, August 1, 2015.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Colley and Nellie Carithers Sorrells. Mrs. Fleming was a seamstress for many years, as well as Office Manager of Fleming's Garage. Most importantly, she was a mother to five boys. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin LaClade Fleming; one son, Kenneth Fleming; and two sisters, Maude Coile and Margaret Thomas.
Survivors include four sons, Scott Fleming of Comer, Laddy (Natalie) Fleming of Winder, Ronald (Nancy) Fleming of Lilburn, and Stephen (Charlene) Fleming of Athens; one daughter in law, Tina Fleming Hardigree; one sister, Iva Smith of Morrow; eight grandchildren, and five and a half great grandchildren in addition to several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Tom Ham officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
