Catherine F. Haynie, 88, of Athens, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017.
Born in Athens, she was a daughter of the late Henry Joseph Faulkner and Lizzie Teet Faulkner. Mrs. Haynie enjoyed a good meal, great conversation and caring for her daughter, Teresa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Haynie; two brothers, Woodrow and Wilson Faulkner and one sister, Margaret Lovern.
Survivors include her children, Tony Haynie and Teresa Haynie; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Edwards Chapel Baptist Church, 105 Timothy Place, Athens, GA 30606.
