Watkinsville, GA - Catherine Spears Brannon, 74, died May 27, 2008.
Born in Fulton County, she was the daughter of Ruth Black Spears of Watkinsville and the late Clyde Spears. She was the widow of A. Frank Brannon and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Brannon. Mrs. Brannon was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church since 1960 where she taught Sunday School and was a member of XYZ. She worked in banking for 40 years, retiring from C & S Bank.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Entombment will be at Athens Memory Gardens.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Survivors in addition to her mother include 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Carol Brannon, Stephen and Rita Brannon, Paul and Stacy Brannon and Scott and Phyllis Brannon; daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Jim Terpin; daughter-in-law, Kim Brannon; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Woody Butler of Macon; 21 grandchildren, Daniel Brannon and his wife Daira, Becky Brannon, Leah Brannon, Rachel Brannon, Mary Beth Brannon, Andrew Brannon, Hannah Brannon, Katie Jo Brannon, Allyson Brannon, Sarah Brannon, Tyler Brannon, Rebekah Brannon, Nathan Terpin, Sam Brannon, Jessie Brannon, Bethany Terpin, Laura Brannon, Joshua Terpin, Matthew Brannon, Isaac Terpin and Robert Terpin; great grandson, Alex Brannon and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund or World Reach Missions, Mercy Health or Athens Pregnancy Center.
Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
