On Friday, February 19, 2016, Casey Lee Streetman left this world to start his journey in the next, met by family and friends that have made their journey before him.
Born on March 25, 1988, Casey immediately made his own impact on this world. As a baby, Casey did not want to sleep much, being happy to just look around at all the glories this new world had to offer. During his time here with us, Casey had a passion for many things. He found joy in his work as a carpenter and tile setter, as well as his passion for different art projects and hobbies. His love and dedication to his "girls", mother Tracie and sister Zoey, was preeminent. For many of Casey's adult summers, he enjoyed working alongside his brother, father, and other volunteers running the beer tent at the Athfest Educates Music Festival. He was employed with Jim Casey Construction, LLC in Athens, as well as doing his own work. He previously worked alongside his grandfather and father in their construction businesses, learning the trades that he so enjoyed.
Casey's love for his family, four legged companion and his friends was as large as life itself.
Casey was preceded in death by his grandfather the late Johnny H. Hill II. Casey is survived by his mother, Tracie Hill-Streetman of Hull; father, Quentin Ray Streetman Jr. of Athens; brother and sister-in-law, Jonathon Streetman and Angelina Cantrell; nieces, Kye and Aerie, all of Athens; sisters, Zoey Morgan Childs of Hull, and Ashley Marie Attaway, of Marietta; stepfather Chris Childs; his pit-bull, Barbarosa; his grandparents, Quentin and Bea Streetman, and Lucretia Brumbalow; aunts and uncles, Sandy and Pete Fountain, Tripp and Franchesca Hill, Christy Hill and Thomas Cox, Misty Gieger, and many other relatives that he loved.
Casey will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. We will each see you again when it is time for us to join you in that next journey, and welcome your embrace again.
