Ila - Carter Dove, aged 78, died Saturday, December 27, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Berry and Alice Mae Smith Dove. He was a member of Macedonia Holiness Church and retired from Gold Kist after 41 years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2PM at Macedonia Holiness Church with Rev. Kendall Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife: Ella Mae Dove; daughter and son in law: Brenda D. and Chris Lord of Danielsville; brothers and sisters in law: Johnson and Jeanette Dove of Danielsville, Julian and Edith Dove of Gainesville, Walter and Louise Dove of Athens, and Emory Dove of Ila; two grandchildren: Nathan Lord and his wife Stephanie and Natalie Lord.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Macedonia Holiness Church, P.O. Box 452, Ila, GA 30647.
