Carrie Eidson

d. March 27, 2017

Mrs. Carrie Cozette Eidson, 89, a long-time resident of Watkinsville passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, March 27th, 2017.
By everyone who affectionately knew her, "Ms. Cozette" was born on June 8th, 1927 to the Rev. Bennett "Ben" and Nancy Louise Buchanan Caldwell of Hogansville. She was married to DW Eidson of Tallapoosa, who preceded her in death in 2011.
Ms. Cozette had a deep love and a passion for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She also had a lifelong passion and love of music which she used in the celebration, worship and to the Glory of her Lord and Savior. Ever since she was a child she played piano as a church musician. She was last, the church pianist for Living Word Baptist Church of Bogart, Ga.
She was a lifelong (56+ years) teacher of music to children of all walks of life all over North Georgia and whenever she sat down at the keyboard people would be in awe of the music that would pour forth as her fragile fingers touched the ivory. More times than not, there were no pages of musical notes in front of her as she delighted those who were listening. Ms. Cozette never knew a stranger.
Ms. Cozette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband DW Eidson of 61 years, a son David Caldwell Eidson (Watkinsville), two brothers, Quinton E. Caldwell (Ft. Myers) and Caleb Caldwell (Rockmart) and a granddaughter DeAnna Denton (Farmington). She is survived by two daughters Nancy Louise Eidson Dibble (Dickson) of North Augusta, South Carolina, and Carrie Dee Eidson Denton (Tim) of Lexington Ga. She is also survived by five granddaughters, KayDee LaGrow of Sebring, Florida, Erica L. Denton Murray (Andrew) of Statham, Ga., Timberly Denton of Lexington, Ga., Rebekah L. Dibble-Slack (Robbie) of Monticello, Fl. and Carrie Cozette Eidson of Watkinsville. She is survived by five great-grandchildren, Daniel Singletary of Sebring, Florida, Molly and Oliver Murray of Statham, Ga and twins Micah and Peyton Slack of Monticello. Fl.
