Professor Carolyn Ann Dehring (nee Keuper) passed peacefully to her heavenly reward at her family's home in Bishop, GA at age 47 after bravely fighting cancer for 7 years.
Carolyn is survived by her dear husband Christopher, beloved children, Noel and Brianna, numerous loving brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, and cousins across the country as well as an incredible number of loving and supportive friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. She is preceded in passing by her mother Janice, father James, and brother Jay.
Carolyn was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin in February 1968. She graduated from Valparaiso University, received her Masters and Doctorate at the University of Illinois. Since 2003, Carolyn was a professor at the University of Georgia in Athens. As a professor, she encouraged her students to pursue excellence. She was published in numerous journals including the Cato Institute.
She inspired many through her faith and unfailing spirit. She was an active and dedicated member of Living Hope Church in Athens, GA.
A celebration of her life is to be held Saturday March 14th, 2015, at 4:00pm at Living Hope Church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
