Carol Anne Humble, 76 of Loganville, Ga. Passed away on June 30, 2023, at Piedmont Hospital Athens Regional from Lung Cancer. Carol Anne was born on January 23, 1947, in Decatur, Ga. To Walter Carlisle Humble and JoAnne Levy Humble. Carol Anne attended Decatur High School and Piedmont Medical Center School of Radiology. She trained in Nuclear Medicine shortly after radiology school and made that a lifelong career for about 36 years. Carol Anne was a member of the Atlanta Bridge Club for many years. She was a Life Master bridge player. She loved attending and traveling to their many tournaments and spent many years at the top of their scoring. Carol Anne never married and did not have any children. In lieu of this, she treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her children. She loved them very much and did much for them. She also loved her sister Martha very much and would do much with her. She had many friends who loved her as well. She is preceded in death by her parents. Carol Anne’s survivors are her sister Martha Meeks of Lexington, Ga., Niece Natalie Knight and her husband William Knight of Loganville, Ga., Great niece Lawryan Muise and her husband Matthew Muise and their children, Ashlyn, William, Patricia, Abigail, and Walter Ray, of Snellville, Ga. There is no visitation. The service will be graveside at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery on July 6th at 1:00 p.m. Reception will be at 139 Westchester Dr. SE, Smyrna, Ga. 30082. Following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Carol’s name to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
