Carol Edwin Fleeman

Carol Edwin Fleeman, 81, of Winterville, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. He was born May 17, 1935 and was the son of the late Lonnie Johnson Fleeman and Florence Ithma Ginn Fleeman of Athens, Ga.
Mr. Fleeman was retired from the Winterville Police Dept. where he served as an officer and police chief for abt. 28 years. He attended the Winterville Baptist Church and also served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Helen Stacks Fleeman and sister, Cotrez "Tez" Fleeman Kirby of Birmingham, Ala.
He is survived by his three loving sons, Marlon Edwin and Teresa Casper Fleeman, Jeffrey Darryl Fleeman and Rodney Dale Fleeman, all of Winterville; one sister, Juanita "Nita" Culbertson of Staunton, Va.; two granddaughters, Melanie Strickland of Savannah and Jennifer Fleeman of Nicholson and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Winterville Cemetery at 7:30PM with Rev. Phil Wages officiating.
