Carol Gregory Daniel, 81, of Elberton passed away on May 26, 2024. Born on October 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late J.T. Gregory and Virginia Carroll Gregory.
Carol was an extremely intelligent and loving woman who was often referred to as the “glue” who held everything together by those who knew her. She was heavily involved in her community and Bethlehem Methodist Church, which she attended for several years. She was an avid reader, an artist, enjoyed hiking and the outdoors, and had mastered the craft of southern cooking and baking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Henry Daniel; sister, Angela Gregory.
Survivors include her daughters, Tristen Daniel, Ann Cunningham, Judy Cribb (Jeff); grandchildren, Riley de la Blanca (Javier), Kelly Woolsey Alexander (Kamalei), Daniel O’Steen (Morgan), Ellie O’Steen, Alex Cross, Sam Cross; great grandchildren, Javier de la Blanca, Virginia Woolsey Alexander, Nākia Woolsey Alexander; brothers, Jerry Gregory, Dave Gregory; sister in law and life-long friend, Charlene Carpenter (Tony); many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Methodist Church, 1025 Welcome Church Road Elberton, GA, with John Moore and Ken Cross officiating.
