Carlton, GA - Carmine Gerald Costello Sr., 62, died January 3, 2008.
A native of Bronx, NY, he was the son of Maria Concetta Costello of Bluffton, SC and the late Carmello "Charlie" Costello and was preceded in death by a brother, Biagio Costello. Mr. Costello moved to this area in 1987. He opened Carmines Pizza Time in Comer with his family in May, 1990. In 1998, he founded Proverbs 11:25 Ministry to serve the Madison County Community. He oversaw the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Carmines Pizza Time through this ministry, as well as assisting others throughout the years.
Services will be Sunday, January 6, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Tuckston United Methodist Church with Dr. Sheila Bookout officiating.
Pallbearers will be Carmine Costello, Jr., Mark Costello, Daniel Costello, Lee Hinsley, Charles Costello, J.C. Wessels and Biagio Costello.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Enid Costello; children, Carmine Gerald Costello, Jr. of Carlton; Mark Vincent Costello (Kimberly) of Athens, Daniel John Costello (Misty) of Winterville and Jaime Hinsley (Lee) of Carlton; sisters, Josephine Wessels of Bluffton, SC, Theresa Caputo of Naples, FL and Adele Minnetta of FL; grandchildren, Haley Costello, Biagio Costello, Lauren Costello, Andrew Costello, Mattox Hinsley, Isabelle Hinsley and David Lane Costello.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
