Carla Delores (Nunn) Brown

Carla Nunn Brown, 49, of Oglethorpe County, passed away early on the morning of April 15, 2023, surrounded by her family.  Born March 20, 1974, Carla was the daughter of Carlton and Mary Norman Nunn.  A 1992 graduate of Oglethorpe County High School, she was an employee of Rayle EMC.  Carla was a loving mother, daughter, and sister.  Well-known for her smile and sunny personality, she was a friend to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ora and Henrietta Norman of Lexington and Louis and Bernice Nunn of Washington.  She was preceded by her aunt Shirley Compton also of Washington.
Carla is survived by her son Carlton James Brown (CJ), parents Carlton and Mary Nunn, sisters Angela Nunn Trissel and Tami Nunn Brown, nephew Timothy Brown and wife Michelle Brown, great niece Cady Brown, former husband Guy Brown and special friend Jimmy Mattox.  The extended family includes aunts and uncles:  David and Brenda Norman, Jacqueline Hunter, Charlotte Damron, Faye Baker, and many cousins and their families.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Lord and Stephens in East Athens.  All who wish to attend are welcome.
A private family ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Pentecost Chapel Holiness Church.  Pallbearers in attendance will be Timothy Brown, Jason Thaxton, Ken Arnold, J.T. Smith, Guy Brown, and Jason Robertson.
