Athens, GA - Camilla Bettis Hammond, 74, died April 15, 2007.
A native of Athens, GA, she was a daughter of the late George and Lois Shaw Bettis and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hammond. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Hammond, Jr. and brother, Nelson Bettis. Mrs. Hammond was retired from Bank of America and was a member of Joy Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Barry Black officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Baptist Church. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Greta Bettis, Nick Bettis (Theresa), Dameron May (Dale, Jr.)
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joy Baptist Church.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
